Beautiful flat calm weather and great-looking conditions greeted us as we entered the grounds and as the morning passed by with little to show for it, we kept on trucking, looking for the kelp they call The One. With the clock working against us, things took a turn for the better and we were now sliding on a kelp with on-the-corner style fishing; it was like an aquarium with 15-40lb yellowfin and 15-30lb dorado, and every bait was a bite. After the the smoke cleared, the gang took time to high five and congratulate each on a victorious day and we couldn't have asked for a better way to finish it up....... and now enjoying a nice ride up.
Thanks to Kurt Kohler who couldn't be with us for this trip for organizing and to Randall Lamb and guests for joining us on the American Angler!

All Around Surprise

When we left the dock for this trip, prospects for both fishing and weather were not totally favorable. But after yesterday, it seemed that we could do no wrong.
