According to recent reports the Hex hatch is on the wane, some nights can be good and others so-so. Otherwise, not much to update. PMDs are still coming off and the spinner fall is happening earlier, the main hatch will happen after 10 usually. Evening Caddis hatches are booming right now too. For the Tricos, the Drowned Trico and CDC Trico Spinner are good choices. Good flies for the PMDs are the PMD Challenged in #14 and the CDC Biot Spinner in #18. If you are looking to go after the Hex, Mercer's Rag Hex and the Hex Profile Dun, and Lance's Hex Cripple will suffice. We will see more Water Boatmen and the Damsels should really be emerging in force over the coming weeks. If you would like to set up a day on the Fall, give a call Bryan in Outfitters at 800-669-3474 to set up a trip!
Hot Flies:
• Lance's Jigged X-May
• Weiss BP Nymph
• Norman's Wiggletails
• Pheasant Tails
• Mercer's Missing Link
• Zug Bugs
• Zack's Stillwater Swimming Leeches
