The water level is low, but boat launching is still possible. An algae bloom was present for most of the summer months. Smallmouth and largemouth bass have provided good to excellent fishing and should stay active through mid-fall. Wipers are abundant but can be tough to catch. Rainbow trout have not survived as well in recent years due to competition with shiners and drought conditions. Catchable-sized (10-inch) rainbow trout will be stocked in the fall and should provide good fishing going into the winter as temperatures cool. Note: Largemouth bass have recently been observed in the reservoir but it is unknown where they came from. Remember it is illegal to introduce fish into Utah's waters. (Aug. 19, 2025)
