Smith river closes to all fishing above Spencer Creek after September 15

Open for hatchery steelhead all year below Spencer Creek. Anglers are still finding a few stripers (striped bass) in the lower sections.
Smith River and North Fork Smith River are now closed to all salmon fishing as of August 25. The wild fall Chinook quota was reached in mid-August.
Smith river closes to all fishing above Spencer Creek after September 15 under permanent rule. North Fork Smith also closes to all fishing above Johnson Creek.

Applegate Reservoir: Applegate Reservoir Report
Emigrant Reservoir: Emigrant Lake is 24 percent full
Expo Pond: Trout fishing has wound down for the summer
Fish Lake : Fish Lake is 49 percent full
Howard Prairie Reservoir: Howard Prairie is 80 percent full
Hyatt Lake: Hyatt is 74 percent full and the BLM boat ramps should still be available
Rogue River- Upper: Upper Rogue River Report
