Cave Lake is 80% covered with thin ice. Some shoreline access remains near the day use area and by the creek inflow. All ice should be considered unsafe.

There were 8,039 rainbow trout, averaging 9 inches stocked this fall. Anglers should expect to catch hatchery stocked trout, however, there is a chance that you can catch a trout carried over from previous years.  Anglers will catch trout on nightcrawlers, PowerBait, spinners (Mepps and Panther Martins), and a variety of wetflies behind a bubble.
