The lake is entirely covered with ice. Most of the lake is has 3.5 to 4 of ice. The ice quality is good to poor.  The poorest ice is in the middle of the lake straight out from the large day-use cove and to the dam and anglers should stay away from this area. Always use safety equipment while out ice fishing.  Anglers are catching 10 to 14 inch rainbow trout right now on a variety of gear, including nightcrawlers, PowerBait, and jibs with soft body baits. There were 8,039 rainbow trout, averaging 9 inches stocked this fall. Anglers should expect to catch hatchery stocked trout, however, there is a chance that you can catch a trout carried over from previous years.
