Norm Kagawa's Shogun docked at Fisherman's Landing October 13 after an eight-day trip with 27 anglers down The Ridge and out to The Rocks. "We got a half-dozen wahoo at The Rocks," noted Norm, "and some giant whitefish and bottomfish at Benitos, and we picked up some bluefin and yellowfin tuna at 150 miles on the way home, on blind jig strikes and a couple of sonar schools. It was flat calm, really nice."

Howard Beesley of San Diego got two big wahoo with a medium orange and black Marauder on the troll. Bruce Young of Telluride, CO helped Howard pose for a photo.

Dave Kodama of San Diego won first place for a 50.4-pound wahoo. He said he got it with a gold and red Raider jig on 50-pound Big Game line and 80-pound Line One spectra on an Avet HX reel and a Calstar 700 XH rod, in just ten minutes.

Jan Silverstein of Las Vegas took second place for a 35.7-pound skinny, and Jim Shinkle of Cheney, KS won third place for a 27.8-pound wahoo.
