Fishing has been fair to good with a good number of hatchery chinooks being harvested

Fishing has been fair to good with a good number of hatchery chinooks being harvested. With low forecasted returns, the main Umpqua will be closed to all harvest of wild spring Chinook. Only fin-clipped Chinook may be harvested.
Anglers are starting to catch a few shad in the Elkton area and lower.
We have received a few good report of striper bass being caught in the lower sections.
Fishing for winter steelhead is about over. Only hatchery steelhead may be harvested.

Rogue River- Upper (Above Lost Creek): Reports of the first Spring Chinook caught have come in
