The lake held at 95% of its storage capacity with water temperatures near 80 degrees. Surface activity picked up as all species of bass fed on baitfish. Largemouth and smallmouth were taken on walking baits, poppers, and spoons, while small jerkbaits and Flukes also produced. Midday, finesse baits in baitfish, brown, and green patterns worked well on main lake points, bluff walls, and cobblestone banks in 10 to 20 feet of water. Striped bass boiled in the ski arm, with Espetits proving the top producer, and several fish over five pounds were reported. Catfish action remained solid on smelly baits fished on Carolina rigs.
