Anglers are finding striper boils throughout the morning, often within 100 feet of the shore. Topwater Spooks and many variations of shad lures are catching black bass early in the day. Jigs and deep diving jerkbaits seem to work later in the day. Catfish and striper action has been good overnight. Stink baits and anchovies are effective baits for catfish, while anchovies are a good choice for striped bass during the evening hours.
