A Huge Thank You to Our Amazing Community!

We just want to say thank you to everyone who came out and enjoyed the event! The QR code provided links to a bunch of great photos from the day — and what a day it was!

We had vintage cars, an exciting martial arts show, and all of our young anglers caught rainbow trout. This was a stocked event specifically for kids to experience the fun of fishing, and the smiles on their faces (and their parents’!) say it all.

Voodoo Cove did an incredible job catering the event, and DJ Rex from our Moose Lodge kept the music going strong. A big shout-out to MAPPED for giving out free fishing poles and tackle boxes, and all the kids ate for free — there was no charge to participate or to catch a fish.

It was truly a community effort. Our first responders were busy helping kids and keeping things safe, and everyone had a great time. The event was proudly hosted by Moose Lodge 1860, and I’m honored to have helped out.

Special thanks to the Arizona Game and Fish Department for loaning us the fishing poles, and to Willow Beach Hatchery for providing such a beautiful batch of trout. Our local patrol boat was on display for folks to check out, thanks to their cooperation, along with support from Parks and Recreation who helped section off the area.

A big salute to our park ranger — a true trooper — who kept watch over the fish and helped make everything run smoothly.

Once again, thank you to Voodoo Cove for the excellent catering, and a heartfelt thanks to our amazing, polite, and grateful community. You all made this event truly special.
