There was one boat who went looking for tuna in the flat seas today. The anglers went out o the 36'40/122'50 area and found good blue water but no life. The anglers headed back in and found some bigger tuna boiling and a bunch of life. The anglers hooked a triple at 36'40/122'16 but got tangled up and lost all of them. My guess is that there are the same grade of Bluefin tuna running around feeding on Anchovies about 14 miles out. The bigger Bluefin tuna don't run like Albacore which is why I am guessing they got tangled. Go take a look the weather is perfect! The Salmon action continues to be good from the Sand Plant to Soldiers Club. The Jellyfish were in the shallow water so anglers did best in 275-300 feet of water. The majority of the Salmon are still being caught near the bottom. The Salmon are in the 15-20 pound range so be prepared. The Halibut fishing is still good in front of the Harbor and in Capitola. The Rock fishing was great in the deep water near Davenport. The wind was down all morning but there was some swell.
