The Upper Truckee river is fishing great in the morning with pale morning duns, caddis, and blue winged olives. Dry fly activity starts as early as 8am here and anglers should concentrate on fishing the deeper pools. Towards Glenshire Drive, anglers can expect small hatches periodically throughout the day. The deeper pools also seem to fishing best here. And down in Floriston and Farad, the river doubles in size here to 180 CFS. Anglers are having success euro nymphing small blue winged olive nymphs, small san juan worms, small caddis. There is also a nice streamer bite in the morning that ends around 10am

FLOWS: Tahoe City 62 CFS, Glenshire 60 CFS, and Farad Exit 180 CFS
