The lake is rising slowly and is currently at 11 percent capacity. Catfish are chewing on live shad schools and are spitting up shad as they’re hitting the deck. Catfishing from shore is slow, but can be found with cut baits, dip baits, and nigh. The trout plant a week ago has improved the action here. Anglers have had decent action on spinners, garlic scented Powerbait, and minijigs. Boaters trolling needlefish around the dam have picked a few quality trout this week. Crappie seem to be getting more active and are holding around structure in 20 to 25-feet deep. The best action has been with crappie jigs and small/medium minnows. The bass action is fair and remain out in deeper water. The best action has been with Heddon Sonars, spoons, and ice jigs.
