EAGLE VALLEY RESERVOIR

Tiger and rainbow trout have been hitting lines near shore and along the dam. Anglers are using worms, rainbow PowerBait, and Woolly Buggers. All campsites and amenities are open

ECHO CANYON RESERVOIR

Rainbow trout action has improved as the reservoir has risen over the past couple of weeks. Rainbows are taking worms and a variety of PowerBait colors. Fly fishers have found good action with Woolly Buggers and Snow Cones.

LAKE MEAD

Blass bass action is good. The fish are hitting drop-shot rigs and deep-diving crankbaits. Stripers are taking anchovies from shore in the Government Wash area and outside of Hemenway Harbor. Shad and trout pattern swimbaits also are catching the fish. Crappie fishing is peaking in the Overton Arm. Anglers are tying on chartreuse jigs and tubes.

LAKE MOHAVE/WILLOW BEACH

Lake Mohave is producing double-digit stripers. Stripers are taking anchovies and jointed rainbow swimbaits. Anglers are bringing in a few rainbows below Willow Beach on PowerBait, worms, and Rooster Tails. Black bass continue to spawn in coves. Smallmouth are taking plastics and jigs in coves with vegetation.

LAUGHLIN

Though seasonal trout plants have stopped for the summer; rainbow trout are still hitting baits at sunrise and sunset from Davis Dam through Casino Row. The fish are taking Rooster Tails, PowerBait, and worms. Black bass are biting on plastics and crankbaits. Catfish are biting on anchovies and chicken livers below Big Bend State Recreation Area.

 WAYNE E. KIRCH WMA

Trout fishing is generally good across the reservoirs, though the action at Dacey and Adams-McGill has been on the slow side. Anglers are using PowerBait, spinners, flies and even plastic worms.

URBAN PONDS

Channel catfish were hitting lines at Floyd Lamb and Sunset Parks over the weekend. Anglers used night crawlers and stink baits.
