The Bluegill are spawning and the bite is good. Anglers reported catching limits of 1-3 pound Bluegill. Redworms, mealworms and crickets were the bait of choice. The Bass bite picked up this week as well. Topwater in the Morning and Evening and
depths of 3-5 feet of water.

Water temperature: 72 degrees

The bass have been in that resting phase after the spawn the last couple of weeks. There have been some reports of some aggressive males going after the fry and top water reports this week though. Anglers reported doing well on swimbaits, drop shots and even some frog bites on Wednesday. The spawn is just about over and you'll notice Bass fry in the shallows with hungry Males guarding them. Throw jerkbaits, flukes or any bait that will get a reaction.
