Fall Chinook fishing has been good on the Alsea and more fish are moving into the system each day. Fishing should continue to improve through the month of September as more fish move into the tidewater waiting for the fall rain.

Wild coho retention will be allowed on the Alsea River from Sept. 15 - 30. The daily bag limit is one adult wild coho per day and one adult wild coho for the season. This is a “one and done season,” meaning you can only keep one adult wild coho from the Alsea for the entire 2022 season.

Trout fishing in streams closes on Oct. 31. Cutthroat trout are abundant and can be found throughout the Alsea basin. Check the regulations for open areas and gear restrictions.
