At Boca Reservoir, the Kokanee bite is still going strong in the early morning before the lake gets busy with the daily boat traffic. The mini salmon are biting in 40 to 50 feet of water on purple or pink spinners. Trout fishing is also improving near the dam and west side coves. Anglers fishing for trout should try using powerbait or inflated nightcrawlers on a Carolina rig off the bottom in 20 feet of water.
