Access to the lake and campgrounds is open. Rainbow trout were stocked the week before last. This is also a good time of year to target bluegill, crappie, bass, and catfish. The water is very turbid (dirty) so fishing with bait or vey slowly with flies and lures will produce the best results. Anglers have had success slowly trolling Joe’s flies and fly fishing with #10 black and olive Simi seal leech and # 12 prince nymph from a boat. The lake level is low, but launching a small boat is still achievable. The limit is 2 bass minimum size 13 inches, the limit is 4 channel catfish. Surface water temperature 66.9 F, pH 7.79, Dissolved Oxygen (D.O.) 5.3 on 9/12/2022.
