Report: Pit 3 is the place to be! Flows remain stable below the dam at or near 310 CFS. Below the Pit 4 dam is ~400 CFS, and through Big Bend is ~510 CFS. Flows below the powerhouses, 3, 4 & 5, all continue to be large and variable so this is a risky place to fish. The evening Caddis hatch is a highlight and definitely worth spending the last part of your day on the river. Swinging soft hackles and throwing dries such as a dark Missing Link can be rewarding. Bird's Nests in #14 & 16, Amberwing Prince Nymphs, and any and all of the Perdigons are working well. Hopper-dropper is a method as a few grasshoppers are making their appearance too. Be careful, though! This can be a slippery river to wade.
As always, the flows on the Pit can and will change without notice, so definitely check before you go! And be prepared to get out when the river begins to rise.
