The increased flows for the kayak dance ceremony are being dropped again, the large volume of cold water dropped the temps in the entire Trinity and lower Klamath drainages. This, coupled with the pulse of water at the Klamath's mouth, should draw a bunch of fish into the system. Keep an eye on the temperature gages and carry a thermometer to ensure you can revive any fish you do hook. Some early summer run fish should be showing up in a couple of weeks into the lower Trinity system.

Early Summer Run Steelhead on the Trinity River will take swung flies readily. Spey rods are becoming an increasingly popular method to swing flies.
