Nacimiento Lake held near 56 percent of capacity, and fishing has been good. Bass anglers used a variety of baits to fool spotted bass with finesse baits, spoons, and small swimbaits leading the way. Drop shot, Ned rigs, and underspins with a swimbait troller all fooled bass in 15 to 30 feet of water. Anglers used spoons and spinnerbaits for the deeper schools of bass. Dark green, brown, and bluegill patterns have been solid color choices. White bass took white War Eagles, ice jigs, and in line spinners near bait balls in deeper water. Catfish anglers used dip baits and cut mackerel to get it done, and crappie took small live shiners, and minijigs tipped with crappie nibbles over deeper structure spots.
