The Kilchis is high and off color but is dropping fast; it may green up by Friday. That said, there isn't much opportunity in the Kilchis River right now. Fishing for chum salmon is closed. There could be a few winter steelhead showing up but being a mostly wild steelhead river (catch-and-release only for wilds) numbers will be low. The steelhead run on the Kilchis peaks January through March.
