The Trask River reached minor flood stage and probably won't drop into "prime" fishing condition this week, although there may be some fishable days for those who don't mind high water. The Trask is still getting hatchery coho back and while many of these fish are dark there are still some bright ones coming in.
The Trask doesn't have any hatchery winter steelhead releases but is well known for catch-and-release fishing for wild steelhead. That run will peak January through March. Trask river levels and predictions are available here.
