The lake level remained near 20 percent of its capacity, and fishing was fair. Spotted bass went after drop shot and other finesse offerings in 10 to 40 feet of water. Anglers reported a slow dragging technique as the most effective way to entice bites. Deeper fish were taken with vertical spooning techniques. Crappie anglers reported hit or miss fishing with small swimbaits and live minnows working after locating biting schools of fish. Catfish anglers used frozen sardines, anchovies, and dip bait for fair results, and trout anglers found biting fish near the marina with dough baits, minijigs, and Kastmasters. The last plant was scheduled for the week of February 11th.
