EAST WALKER RIVER           

The East Walker on the California side of the state line is closed until April 27. 2024. The Nevada side of the river is open through the Winter. 

The Rosachi section has been fishing very well with most of the anglers I’ve spoken with this past week doing great down there. There’s some good nymphing and I’ve also had a couple good reports with dries. The stoneflies are very active right now so stonefly nymphs as well as stonefly adults have been doing well. I’ve had reports of very good numbers of 20+inch fish as well. Some patterns to try down there include: chubby chernobyl, madam X, hoppers, golden stone nymphs, Pat’s rubber leg, micro stone, poxyback stone, zebra midge, perdigon, darth baetis and copper John.                  

SCEIRINE RANCH        

We haven’t had anyone on the ranch this past week but it should fish very much like the Rosachi section, if you want to reserve some time down there just give us a call.   

HUNEWILL POND    

The pond is frozen for now, we’ll let you know when it looks like it’s gonna thaw!                

BRIDGEPORT RESERVOIR

KIRMAN LAKE

TWIN LAKES          

Closed until April 27, 2024                                                         

WEST WALKER RIVER             

Haven’t heard any news from the West lately, if you’re going to hit that up I would suggest fishing some of the more sunny sections, be very stealthy so as not to spook the fish and try some attractor nymphs like copper johns, perdigons an hare’s ears as well as some small wooly bugger type streamers.                               

VIRGINIA LAKES
