Shasta is literally heating up and the Spots are congregating on structure near the banks. Good topwater action can be had early and late in the day, Jones Valley is a hot spot and if you throw a Swimming Frog or just about any popper near a dead tree you will be rewarded. A sinking line fished toward the shore so you can bounce a crawdad pattern or baitfish pattern down the banks will also be effective. Bounce a Concussion Cray, Jiggy Worm or Grim Reaper on the rocks or strip the Tui Chub Pyramid Minnow.
Hot Flies:
• Wooly Buggers
• Float-n-Flies
• Dead Drop Minnow
• Zack's Stillwater Balanced Leech
