The bass bite has been fair to good in the early morning and late afternoon. Our contacts reported a decent topwater frog bite during the early hours of the day. They’re also finding a few bass flipping baits near the reeds. As the day progresses, they have switched to reaction with creature baits and crankbaits. An occasional crappie has struck at minijigs and small crankbaits on the backside. The bluegill bite is excellent with any live worm. Carp can be found with dough baits.
