Stocking: Lake Jennings was freshly stocked with 1,000 pounds of catfish last week! In total 8,500 pounds of catfish were stocked this season. News about trout opener is coming soon!

What’s the Catch? Lots of bass caught last weekend. The bass were reeled in by boat and shoreline in Cloister Cove and around the t-dock. Shiners and plastics were the baits of choice. With the final stocking of catfish season came limits of catfish from Siesta Cove and the t-dock. Boaters were reeling them in off of Eggert’s Point and the tower buoy line. The hungry stock was biting on nightcrawlers, mackerel, and dip baits. Expect the catfish to be most active following sunset. No reports of Blue Gill or Redear this weekend.

Conditions: The current water temperature at the surface is around 76 degrees. The sun is rising at 6:59 a.m. and setting at 6:05 p.m. The next New Moon is November 1st.

LAKE HOURS ARE CHANGING! This is the last weekend that the lake will be open until midnight on Friday and Saturday until next year’s catfish season. With fall back, we’ll adjust our hours to 6am to 5pm, Friday-Sunday.
