What can you say about the Metolius that you don't already know. "A tough place to fish" period. Yes, she does not give up her secrets very easily. But what a place to fish, there are not many more beautiful places to be on this earth. For the persistant angler there can be some very rewarding days. Nymphing has been the most productive method lately, fish heavy stone nymphs, and than follow up with small to minute pheasant tails or prince nymphs. We have not heard of any green drakes appearing yet, but that can come at anytime. Also do not forget the rivers Bull Trout, large sculpin patterns produce very well when fished deep.
