Water Conditions:
The basin lakes are fully open!!! All basin lakes are thawed out.
Fishing Conditions and Hatches:
Early morning and late evening better chances with dries. Nymphing and pulling streamers is still the perferred technique.
Not too many people fishing because of the wind but it should calm down by this weekend.
Recommended Flies:
DRIES: #16 Baby Boy Hopper, #16- #18 Royal Wulff, #16- #20 Sierra Brite Dot, #16- #18 Renegade, yellow/tan stimulators, Callibaetis
NYMPHS: variety of midges, scuds, #18 medallion midges, #20 cdc emerging midge, #18- #20 Stalcup midge emerger, #14- #20 prince nymph, #16- #20 rainbow warrior, san juan worm, hares ear, pheasant tail, birds nest, #14 pandemic callibaetis, Janssen Callibaetis emerger
STREAMERS: Doc Twin Specials, crystal bugger, goat leech, Rickard's AP emerger

Hot Creek: When fishing Hot Creek check out the Caddis hatch in the evening
Crowley Lake: At Crowley you can catch almost as many Browns & Cutthraots as Rainbows with a big, fat Perch
Owens River: Upper Owens fishing is fair to good & the water is a little off color
Owens River: The flow at the Owens River Gorge is 175 cfs & the fishing is good
Pleasant Valley Reservoir: Water is still cold at Pleasant Valley Reservoir so the rule of thumb is "Deep dark and slow"
Rock Creek - Section 1: Nymphing is the perferred techinque on Rock Creek
Rush Creek: Good fishing on Rush Creek between Grant Lake & Hwy 395
Owens River: The flows on the Lower Owens will stay around the 245 level, making the fishing consistent.
East Walker River (CA): Flows are up on the East Walker River

Owens River: Fly fishing on the Upper Owens is fair to good with streamers getting the best action
Owens River: The Owens River Gorge is a great place to fish at this time of year
Pleasant Valley Reservoir: The area just below the stream section isthe fishing hotspot for Pleasant Valley Reservoir
Owens River: The Lower Owens is so reliable at this time of year
East Walker River (CA): The East Walker River is fishing great right now
