Water Conditions: Water conditions are less than usual. The lake is much lower than typical for this time of year.
Water Temp: Water temp has soared to about 65??F on the bottom across the lake.
Algae is not too bad but some stringy stuff here and there. Keep those flies clean. some surface crud moving around daily here and there also.
WARNING:
The lake is much lower than previous years. Watch out for Pelican Point which sticks out way into the lake.
Look for white buoys and pass to the east.
Also the islands just north of there are poppng out. Watch for buoys and go slow coming in when it is rough as buoys are small and tough to see in chop.
Fishing Conditions: Fishing has been good at Crowley Lake.
Big Hilton has been the most consistant with a good mix of fish from 8 to 22". They are also off the point at Little Hilton. Still holding in 13-17 ft of water about everywhere.
Fishing is tough some days if algae is stringy as fish leave.
North end has fish at Six Bays real deep and some right out in the middle in 13-14 ft. Not consistant - but can be good any day then off the next. Same for McGee.
Recommended Lures: 13 gram Tasmanian Devils, F-7 and F-9 Rainbow Rapalas, Thomas bouyants.
Recommended Bait: Inflated nightcrawlers, orange and yellow powerbait, micetails.
Guides Hint: Perch fishing continues to be excellent. McGee for the bait guys is the spot right now.
