During an Oct. 1 visit, fishing was good in boats and from the shore. With colder temperatures, the fish are starting to come up from the deeper waters, so try fishing in the shallows. Anglers are catching fish on pop gear, Jake's lures and spinners. Worm-and-marshmallow combos or PowerBait are also good choices. The water level is still low, so use caution when launching boats.
