The water at Little Creek is rising and the area is surprisingly warm. There's about four inches of slush on a lot of the lake, but the ice itself is three feet thick. If you plan to fish, bring wading boots. The dam shoreline cracked open--you'd need a plank to stretch across the thigh-deep water and slush. Be prepared to stand in a pool of melted water all day. Some small rainbows are biting (but not furiously) most of the day. Try using ice flies and wax worms or nightcrawlers. Parking on the dam is muddy and slick. Many thanks to Jan Hoch for the report.
