Depending on their timing, anglers report slow to fair fishing for largemouth bass and bluegill. Those fishing during calm weather had better success than those who challenged the winds or the midday heat. Bluegill are getting more difficult to find -- try some of the deeper waters near the middle or west end. Pelican Lake has an overabundance of carp, so please help the fishery by catching as many as you can or taking them using archery equipment.
