Small dark colored nymphs in #18-22 are the top bug early in the day. A selection of PMD and BWO duns should be in your fly box. You can get fish to chase after a dun imitation near sunset too. There's almost always at least one curious fish hanging around near sunset. You will find the most consistent fishing/hook-ups near the Power House #2 riffle. Bigger fish can found hunting the flats at sun up and near sun down. River closes to fishing Nov. 15. Lower Hat: Rim Rock Ranch (530) 335-7114; The Fly Shop (530) 222-3555
