Peak time on June Loop

June Lake Loop - June Lake, CA (Mono County)

by Nor Cal Fish Reports
9-24-2015

Trout in the 5 to 8 pound range are being caught. Two eight pound rainbows were landed, one took a Tasmanian Devil the other came on a Needlefish. Trolling get the best results, but Power Bait can work, too. June Lake Marina (760) 648-7726; Gull Lake Marina (760) 648-7539; Steady Fishing at Silver Lake has started to increase as the fish are starting to rise and show some really good action. We have had some cooler nights again this week, in the mid 30’s, which has helped to slowly improve the fishing. Good results have been seen from both the shore and from a boat early in the mornings and late in the afternoons. The mid day sun still slows the fishing down and the best results continue to be early and late in the day. Night Crawlers and Berkley Power Baits have seen some really good results this week as have the ever consistent Berkley Mice Tails and Gold / Red Thomas Buoyant. DFW stocked as always this week and should stay on schedule through the end of the season, as far as we know. Silver Lake Resort is Open for about another 30 days, as we close for the season on October 19th Silver Lake (760) 648-7525
