Lake is at 40% capacity. For those with boats 21 ft or larger be cautious of the "hitch" at the end of the boat launch now. Throw everything you have at the trout now, ie: powerbait, nightcrawlers, and salmon eggs and combinations of these baits, spoons and spinners of different varieties. By casting closer and then working your way out a little further one can detect what depth the trout are cruising and having patience is key to success now. Marc Christophel was on the lake recently and had success toplining for Macks. Best spots for these guys were on the East side of the lake using Rapala F11 and F13 in orange/white. Also, for those jigging for the Macks the area of China Cove has lots of these guys stacked up around depths 85-90 feet.

Little Truckee RiverWith this stretch being a Tailwater fishery it will serve those looking for their fix more so than the Big T tough conditions. Fishing Well
Pyramid LakeStill fishing well here but be careful for those windy fall days if you are utilizing a boat! This lake is notorious for capsizing boats!
