Water temp …….49 degrees
Water color …….Stained
Weather…….Cloudy and 54 degrees
Wind ……….5 to 8 mph
Launched from the Lucerne ramp, headed straight to Soda Bay looking to get in to some protected water. Started in eight feet of water with a drop shot Margarita Mutilator on the second cast my wife Tina caught her first Bass. Then she proceeded to catch one or get a bite on the next ten casts or so. Very slow presentation inching the bait along the bottom then dead sticking it, thats when she would get bit (on the pause). I started with a Spoon and landed a small keeper on the second cast I made, dropping to the bottom then raising the rod tip slowly the bites where coming on the second or third drop. Then I switched to an IMA Flit and started making long casts over ten to twelve feet of water then making long strokes and letting the bait sit for ten to twelve seconds before making another long stroke. The bites I got on the Flit were all just load up bites or swirling on it but not eating it. After fishing Soda Bay for about 45 min we headed to Henderson point, graphed lots of baitfish but never got a bite on our presentations moved to Horseshoe which was back in the sun and started catching fish on the dropshot and the Flit again. We fished for about another 30 minutes caught some more dinks then headed back. we only fished for about 3 hours today since we were mostly just testing the boat (epic fail) back in the shop. So, there will probably be another report next week.

All our fish came on Brown and Purple jigs and drop shot shad colored worms in 15′-35′ on points. Bite was slow only caught 9...... Read More
Lake Don Pedro Report
Don Pedro ReservoirWhile many of us were at the ISE show,The BBT wrapped up its event on Lake Don Pedro with over 70 Teams and the results are in. Don Pedro can be stingy this time of year and it was for most, but not for the team of Bill Vernon and Jason Hopper.
