Did a quick trip to the Delta today to drive my new boat and make a few casts. Caught 6 fish today with the best 5 going about 23 lbs. All fish were caught on a black and blue jig fished in the weeds. 5 of them came in one area. Seems like ya gotta move around until you bump into a group. That said I only fished for about 2 hours and spent 2 hours driving the boat around to get a feel for it. Water temps were between 55 and 58, stained color. All fish caught on a Powell 806 with 25 lb 100% fluorocarbon Berkley line tied to an Abu Garcia Premier.

Fished Pineflat Saturday for the BBT Tournament. Water level is rising a little more than half a foot a day. Visibility is 3′-4′ temp is 51 in the morning warming to 55 in the afternoon. We fished 25′- 35′ on plain nothing banks. Our fish came on jigs and sinkos nothing on reaction by some people said they caught a few. Most of our fish were around trees instead of rocks.
