The Shingletown Lions Club hosted another Community Kid’s Fishing Day at Grace Lake on Saturday, May 14 with registration beginning at 8:00 AM and concluded at 1:00 PM. The Lions Club, Shingletown Community Services , Shasta-Trinity Fly Fishers, Shingletown Volunteer Fire Department, Citizens Patrol and CDFW where present for the event. Stew Stuart organized this event has he has in the past and is appreciated by all.

The CDFW planted Grace Lake the day before with trout for the kids participating in the event. As of 10:30 AM, 65 kids had registered for the event. Organizers had fishing gear available for those kids who needed equipment from fishing poles and night crawlers but not eggs or Power Bait.

Most of the trout were being caught on Power Bait, and night crawlers.
