Dennis Dunn, Jerry, Fred, Ron and Debbie at the Wild Horse Resort (775) 758-6472: There are 10 inches of snow at the Resort. The reservoir ice is 10-13 inches thick and extra hard. Ice fishing is good but you have to locate the deep channels between the island and the west bank. Across from the state park is very productive for both trout and perch.

Fly fishing club to meet Jan. 9

The Carson Fly Fishing Club will hold its regular club meeting on Wednesday evening, Jan. 9. That meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the conference room of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), located at 5665 Morgan Mill Road. The guest speaker for the evening will be Jan Nemec of Orvis.
