Eight of us covered a few beaches. Bait balls everywhere coming up into the shallows and running the edges of the shelves. Lots of cookie-cutter size slot fish in pursuit gorging on the Tui's. I didn't hear of but one 10 pound fish caught all weekend, but that doesn't mean anything. It was certainly a quantity over quality type weekend.

Patterns the fish keyed in on were:
Jose's Jalapeño minnow
Jan's Hook-up
White UV balanced leech
Varieties of the above listed patterns.
Conditions were windy but pleasant Saturday, cooler temps and increased winds Sunday. Water temps were still in the mid 60's."

We do know of one nice one caught from the beach, a little over 17 pounds.. but that was it that we've heard of for large fish.. a few just a little over 10 pounds.

Sounds like it was a good weekend of fishing for shakers, next weekends weather certainly will be better!
