The Striped Bass outlook is great on the Colorado River. Striper fishing below Davis dam is producing well but its mostly in the one pound range. Cut anchovies are barely able to stay on the hook before these bait stealers get to your hook. My suggestion is the bait wrap thread on a #1 or 2 hook. Our anglers Robert Tyler (white shirt) and Dillon sugdent were fishing in the big bend area using and anchovies to land these stripers just under 5 pounds and one just over 1 pound. the argument is throw back the smaller ones so they will grow bigger or keep the smaller ones so the others can grow bigger. both are good ideas.
