All of the north coast rivers blew out this past weekend, but are on the drop and should be in shape by the middle of this week. Following this high water event there should be good numbers of fall Chinook available in the river. The Trask also gets a hatchery coho run, and there are probably still a few of those around below the hatchery. Bobber fishing bait, back-bouncing, back-trolling plugs or divers and bait, or casting spinners can all be effective methods.
Anglers are reminded that the dam hole (MP 7 on Trask River Rd up to Blue Ridge Creek) is closed to fishing Sept. 1 - Nov. 30
