The Nehalem was in good shape last weekend and the fishing was fair. The rains Wednesday through Friday are predicted to bring the Nehalem up almost a foot before leveling out for the weekend. The height will still be a fishable level, but the river may get muddy. Check conditions before you go, and if it’s colored up, try larger presentations and bright colors. There are fish throughout the system, but this is mostly a wild fish river, so be prepared to catch and release.
