The final trout plant on Lake Amador took place on May 17, and the next plant will not be until October. The trout are holding in 15 to 25 feet of water. The best bait continues to be trout dough bait in chartreuse with added garlic scent. The current best location is from the blue docks to the corner of the dam. In the summer months the best trout fishing will take place at night.
