“Fishing for trout and largemouth bass was good (at Black Canyon Lake). We caught rainbow trout from one end of the lake to the other. Trout were biting on Rainbow PowerBait, colored power balls in Orange/Red and Chartreuse/Red combinations on a slipsinker rig with a 3ft to 4ft leader floated above the grass on bottom. Bass were chasing minnows, some were striking at Dragonflies near the surface. We threw 4inch redhead Yamamoto sinkos and dropshot Oxblood Roboworms wackyrigged 1 to 2ft up above the Hydrilla grass. Larger bass were near they Dam. Water is still higher than in recent years. This lake has a Cell tower which is great.”
