Fishing has improved in the past week! The shad have been out in large numbers and the bass have been keying in on the smaller and tighter balls. Flukes, spoons, top-water walking baits, and frogs have been effective. Make sure to work point in the afternoons and the coves in either the morning or later in the afternoons. Frogs have been effective working them in the reeds with well places cats in areas that haven’t been worked. Drop shot off the points and rock piles with shad imitations has been pulling bass consistently too. Bluegill fishing contains to improve with larger bluegill being caught tail. Crickets with a drop shot or red worms have been the most productive. Using small feather jigs and smaller swimbaits has been working for large bluegill as well as crappie. Good luck happy fishing!
