The past few days have definitely seen an increase in both boats and King salmon.  Today wasn't red hot, but it was good to see nets coming up in a few holes we fished today.  More than just a few boats hooked fish which was good to see.  Ironically, I may have only seen a few salmon roll all day which is not the norm this time of the year.  Flows are still dropping which should help slow down the migrating salmon and give us a shot at these fish a bit longer than we have in the past few weeks.  We'll keep posting our observations and try to keep everyone excited about salmon fishing on the Sacramento River again this year!

He fishes many bodies of water in the Redding area, but also guides the Sacramento River and Feather River during certain times of the year. Jeff can also be found on the California coast chasing ocean fresh King salmon and steelhead each year.
